Teachers can feel overwhelmed by their school's administrative and compliance requirements for Outdoor Learning programs. They may understand the importance of Outdoor Learning for their students, but feel time-poor and under-equipped to design and implement programs.
School Leadership may not understand the many benefits of Outdoor Learning, viewing it as disruptive to timetabling, costly and stretching for school resources. They may struggle to access suitable knowledge and expertise.
GOGI can help lower these barriers and open the way for students to experience quality Outdoor Learning programs.
GOGI offers 3 levels of engagement with a school:
Dave has developed over time a philosphy towards Outdoor Learning that is thoughtful, effective, and proven. He offers a particular style of planning and delivery.
Start the conversation to see what's possible.
Thoughtful program facilitation is the difference between a good week's camping and a transformative outdoor experience.
GOGI designs and facilitate experiences where students 'Grow Inside' - Mentally, Emotionally, Physically, Socially and Spiritually.

GOGI promotes 'Praxis' - Action and Reflection Cycles for students. Facilitated evening circle meetings and structured journaling are two key processes that can embed learning and help students transfer what they have learnt outdoors to other aspects of life.

For those wanting to provide a peak experience for a group of students, we can offer extended group experiences of 5-10 days. Dave has taken multiple groups to Karijini National Park exploring gorges, and to Tasmania to hike the Three Capes Trail and in the Cradle Mountain National Park. Locally, he has experience with extended programs in the Walpole Wilderness and along the Bibbulmun Track.
