A lot goes into designing effective outdoor programs , and every context is different. Dave will work alongside you to design programs that best meet your goals within your available resources. This can involve in-person visits to your school or organisation, and/or 'desktop' program design using GOGI's Program Design Tool. This tool builds a picture of your organisations context, capacity and resources, and then matches these to outdoor learning program options.
Having lead groups outdoors since the early 90s, Dave has built a wealth of local knowledge for places to go, places to stay and places to have adventures. In WA we have an amazing range of options for walks, paddles, campsites and beautiful natural environments.
Dave can assist you in identifying hazards and assessing risks for your program, following the Australian Standard for Risk Management to produce Hazard and Risk Assessments.
GOGI follows the Australian Adventure Activity Standards, and specifically 4 of the their Good Practice Guides (GPGs) - the Core GPG and those for Camping, Paddling and Bushwalking.
GOGI can also assist schools required to meet the Department of Education (DET) Recreation and Outdoor Education Activity for Public Schools procedures
